Emery "E.J." Gardner, 88 of Union passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home. Mr. Gardner, son of the late Louis E. Gardner and wife Anna nee Farmer was born August 30, 1926 in Greene County, Missouri. He lived his childhood in Oldfield, MO. Later he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Gardner received a Master's Degree in education and taught high school English in Owensville, MO until his retirement. EJ is survived by his adopted son, Paul and wife Charolette; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; one great great-grandson; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
