Elsie Kathern Reed nee Love, 84 of Augusta passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Reed daughter of the late Elvet Love and wife Sarah nee Pierce was born April 25, 1924 in Sullivan, Missouri.

On January 16, 1943 she was united in marriage to Dennis Reed at St. Clair.

Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by her parents, Elvet and Sarah Love; her husband, Dennis Reed, Sr.; one son, Jackie Reed; four brothers, Louis Love, Russell Love, George Love and Pierce Love; one sister Myrtle Love.

She is survived by five sons, Elmer Reed and wife Donna of Augusta, Darrell Reed and wife Susan of Defiance, Jim Reed and wife Lisa of Augusta, Robert Reed and wife Phyllis of Houston, Texas and Dennis Reed, Jr. and wife Ann of Berger; three daughters, Kathy Meyer of Marthasville, Donna Bond and husband Kraig of Union and Peggy Reed-Lohmeyer and husband Steve of Fulton; one brother, Elmer Love and wife DeeDee of St. Clair; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
