Edward Mesa Cruz, 91, of St. Clair, passed Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Crab Apple Village in St. Clair.

On June 2, 1930, Edward was born to the union of Joseph Cruz and Andrea (Mesa) in Guam.

Edward was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's fan. He enjoyed going to the casino's, fishing, crafting, and playing pool. Edward also enjoyed his favorite dice game, Zonk. Most of all Edward loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Andrea Cruz; three children, Edward Anthony Cruz, Gil John Cruz and Norma Kostecka; three brothers, Henry Cruz, Chu Cruz and Johnny Cruz; three sisters, Frances Cruz, Benang Sablan and Medo Tajalle.

Edward is survived by his wife, Mary Cruz of St. Clair; three sons, Joseph Cruz and wife Dorothy of Oklahoma, Herb Cruz and wife Marlyn of California and Rick Cruz and wife Dawn of California; son-in-law Scott Kostecka of California; two stepsons, Mark Beadles and wife Mary of Union and James Beadles and wife Maria of Louisiana; five daughters, Doris Duenas and late husband Frank of California, Irene Purnell and husband JR. of Texas, Lydia Charles and husband Bentura of California, Andrea Schmitt and husband Merrick of Kansas and Tita-ling Venisse and husband Marc of Arizona; two stepdaughters, Cindy Berg and husband Bill of California and Carol Pistole and husband Todd of Arizona; two brothers, Ping Cruz of California and Herb Cruz and wife Kim of Nevada; sister, Lillian DeCastro of California; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
