Edna R. Beas nee Buenemann, 86 of Jefferson City formerly of Leslie passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 in Jefferson City. Mrs. Beas, daughter of Edward Buenemann and wife Dorothy nee Davis was born October 12, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri.

On June 8, 1945 she was united in marriage to Raymond Beas. They made their home on a small farm in Leslie for 52 years. At age 14 she started work at Bussmann Fuse. During her working career she took on many jobs. Her last and most proud job was at Beverly Manor in Sullivan as a Dietician.

Mrs. Beas was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond Beas and two brothers, Edward Buenemann and Larry Buenemann.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Fooks and husband Mel of Jefferson City; three sisters, Virginia Besancenez of St. Louis, Janet Nelson of Fulton and Jo Ann McDonald and husband Pat of New Haven; three grandchildren, Michelle Fooks of Jefferson City, Bryant Fooks and wife Deidra of Long Mont, Colorado and Lisa Myers and husband James of Parker, Colorado; six great-grandchildren, Dylan Fooks, Evan Fooks, Taylor Fooks, Rae Ann Fooks, Mary Myers and Donovan Myers; other relatives and many friends.
