Eddie Ray Staggs Sr., 56, of Union passed away Friday October 10, 2014 at his home. Mr. Staggs, son of the late William and Ivy Staggs was born September 27, 1958 in Franklin County, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering and restoring old cars. Mr. Staggs was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons, Eddie Ray Staggs Jr. and Chris Staggs both of Collinsville, IL; two daughters, Jody Thorpe and husband Travis of Arnold and Alli Staggs of Staunton, IL; four grandchildren, Joshua Staggs of Collinsville, IL, Jacob Staggs of Jerseyville, IL, Hayleigh Staggs of Collinsville, IL and Brentley Branham of Staunton, IL.; his girlfriend, Catherine Selene Davidson of Union; other relatives and many friends.
