Ed "Sonny" Warner, 74, of Gerald passed away, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Warner, son of the late Henry Warner and wife Ella nee Krueger was born January 27, 1943 in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
On January 7, 1977 he was united in marriage to Susie Biermann in Union.
Ed served his country in the United States Army as a 1st Class Gunner and team member of the 1st Battle Group 14th Infantry Golden Dragons.
Later he went on to become the Police Chief for Gerald. After that he served as a Deputy Sheriff for Franklin County for approximately 10 years. He continued his law enforcement career with the Washington Police Department for approximately 20 years until his retirement in 2004. While with Washington he was a member of the Police Explorer's serving as an Instructor and as an Instructor for the D.A.R.E. program.
Mr. Warner is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ella Warner and one sister, Loretta McGuire.
He is survived by his wife Susie Warner of Gerald; three children, Sheila Bacon and husband Roger of Owensville, Vickie Tucker and husband Scott of Marshall, MO and Jesse Warner and fiancé Tom Strathman of Plano, TX; two sisters, Doris Bruch and husband Stan of Fort Atkinson, WI and Marie Radtke and husband Frank of Waterloo, WI; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
