Ed Brockman, 71 of Sullivan passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Washington. Mr. Brockman, son of the late Henry Brockman and wife Ada nee Tourville was born June 29, 1942 in Newburg, Missouri.

On August 31, 1963 he was united in marriage to Jeri Lansing in St. Louis. For over 40 years Ed was a well known Mechanic in the Franklin County area. It was his life work and passion.

He was a member of the American Legion in St. Clair. On many evenings you could find Ed on the river catfishing and camping.

He enjoyed being around people; he had a huge sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Brockman was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ada Brockman and one brother, Bob Brockman.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri Brockman of Sullivan; two sons, Deckie Brockman and wife Sandy of St. Louis and Jason Brockman and wife Jane of St. Clair; one daughter, Shellie Holman of St. Louis; one brother, Dick Brockman of Colorado; one sister, Sherry Spradling and husband Jerry of Bland; six grandchildren, Tiphani, Josh, Courtney, Taylor, Alicia and Aaron; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
