Earnest "Ernie" Yawn, 56, of Union passed away, Monday, January 6, 2020 in St. Louis.

Ernie was born October 20, 1963 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Lora Raipe.

On November 15, 1984 he was united in marriage to Tina Stevens in Grand Prairie, TX.

Ernie worked as a Winder for Weg Transformers in Washington.

He enjoyed Trout fishing trips with his sons, spending time with family and friends and being a huge Dallas Cowboys Football Fan.

Ernie was preceded in death by his mother, Lora Raipe; his parent, John Hodge, his son, Timothy Yawn; six brothers, Doug Yawn, Thomas Yawn, Charles Yawn, Billy Yawn, Johnny Yawn and Andy Farrar and one sister, Verna Yawn.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Yawn of Union; two sons, Jonathan Yawn and wife Nichole of Union and Mathew Yawn of Union; his parent, Ruby Hodge of Roanoke, VA two brothers, Michael Yawn and wife Shari of Spring Lake, NC and Tim Yant and wife Jill of Aurora, CO; two sisters, Jackie Griswald and husband Scott of Spring Lake, NC and Bonnie Hodge of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren, Addyson Yawn and Payton Yawn; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
