Dwayne Wright Hicks, 86, of Union passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Hicks, son of the late Emmett Hicks and wife Mary nee Dyson was born February 4, 1931 in Belle, Missouri.

On October 13, 1951, he was united in marriage to Doris Kinkead in Salem, Arkansas.

Dwayne was a lifelong member of the Local #46 Painter Union, member of the Moose Lodge in Union and 42 years active in AA Groups.

Dwayne was loved by his family and had many friends. His wishes are to be remembered not by a funeral or burial, but remembered as he was to you when he lived.

Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Mary Hicks; his son, Kirk Hicks; three brothers, Norman Hicks, Leo Hicks and Ray Gene Hicks; brother-in-law, Calvin Kinkead and sister-in-law, Marlene Perry.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Pauline Hicks of Union; The Loving Christian Father of Sonia Hicks of Union and Sheila (Dave) Zwilling of St. Clair; daughter-in-law, Terry Hicks of Union; brother-in-law, John Perry; eight grandchildren, Layla (Matt) Burch, Nicole (Nick) Bouck, Gabe (Liz) Zwilling, Shawla (Ryan) Barker, Jake Scott, Wade Hicks, Devon Hicks and Tonya (Dan) Meyer; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
