Dorothy Melton nee Schulz, 74 of Washington passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Washington.

Mrs. Melton daughter of the late Otto Schulz and wife Mildred nee Biller was born October 4, 1936 in Washington, Missouri.

On June 6, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Melton in Labadie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Mildred Schulz; one great-grandson, Gary Welch, Jr.

Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband, Charles Melton of Washington; three daughters, Machel Struckhoff and special friend Jon Kauffman of Union, Pamela Plafcan and husband Tim of Odessa and Amy Schroeter and husband Marvin of Washington; six grandchildren, Jessica Carey of Union, Lance Corporal Patrick Carey and special friend Amanda Terschluse of Union, Nick Plafcan of Odessa, Trevor Plafcan of Odessa, Laurena Schroeter of Washington and Leighten Schroeter of Washington ; one great-grandson, Jayden Noble; other relatives and many friends.
