Dorothy "Jill" Mae Wilburn (Armstrong), 93, of Lonedell Lakes went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 18, 2022 at an assisted living facility in Washington.
Dorothy, daughter of Hardin Armstrong and wife Leora Florendina (Miller) was born November 15, 1928 in Jerseyville, Illinois.
On August 16, 1947 she was united in marriage to Bob Wilburn in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Dorothy attended Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell where she was also in charge of the cookie ministry. Bob and Dorothy were members of the Lion's Club in Richwoods.
She enjoyed fishing and keeping active by walking. She was excellent at quilting, crocheting and sewing, often times making caps for babies and quilts for family and friends.
Dorothy was known as being generous and kindhearted, always willing to help anyone in need.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Hardin and Leora Armstrong; her husband, Bob Wilburn; two sisters, Artie Katherine Thompson and Joyce Elizabeth Woolsey and great-granddaughter, Rebecca Schlereth.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Crabaugh and husband Bill of Olathe, KS, Deborah Mathis and husband Stephen of St. Louis and Roberta Morgan and husband Russ of Lonedell; two sisters, Berdella June Baker and husband Floyd of Illinois and Adelene Margret Walz of Illinois; six grandchildren, Shawnell Stengel of Olathe, KS, Neil Crabaugh and wife Jennifer of Olathe, KS, Victoria Schlereth and husband Todd of St. Louis, Luke Mathis of St. Louis, Maesy Morgan of Lonedell and Rhett Morgan of Lonedell; ten great-grandchildren, Robert Crabaugh, Kayla Starling, Andrew Ritter, Kylee Stengel, Curtis Schlereth, Dominic Schlereth, Hayley Schlereth, Reed Schlereth, Gibson Crabaugh and Gwendolyn Crabaugh; two great-great-grandchildren, Ronan and Alarah; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association are preferred.
