Doris Jones nee Armistead, 87 of St. Clair passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 in St. Clair.

Mrs. Jones, daughter of the late Wesley Armistead and wife Nannie nee Vaughn was born December 19, 1922 in St. Clair.

On April 19, 1941 she was united in marriage to Anthony Jones in St. Clair and five children were born to this union.

She was a member of The Nazarene Church in St. Clair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Nannie Armistead; one brother, Cecil Armistead and one sister, Genevieve German; her great-grandson, Baby Jack.

Mrs. Jones is survived by one son, Roger Jones of St. Clair; four daughters, Brenda Schmitt and husband Bill of St. Clair, Sue Powell and husband Jack of St. Clair, Nancy Jones of St. Clair and Sandra Anzalone and husband Tony of Union; one sister-in-law, Irene Armistead of St. Clair; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
