Donna Christine (Woods) Rutledge of Union, MO passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the age of 73 years. She was born October 7, 1949 in Sullivan, MO; the daughter of Everett Woods and his wife, Harriette (Harmon). She received her education from Sullivan High School and East Central College.  Donna was united in marriage to Larry Rutledge on November 7, 1980 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Union and they were blessed with three daughters.  She was employed as a Deputy Clerk at the Union Courthouse until her retirement in 2015.  Donna was a parishioner of Union First United Methodist Church and a member of Women of the Moose #1586.  She was also a volunteer at the Union Food Pantry and enjoyed helping other people.   The time she cherished most was the time spent with her wonderful family and friends.  Her eternal optimism, beautiful smile, great hugs, and true love of life will all be greatly missed.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Harriette Woods; one brother, Jim Woods; and one brother-in-law, Selden Ruwwe.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Rutledge of Union; three daughters: Dena Aholt and significant other Morgan Babbitt of Union, Christa Chancellor and husband Chris of St. Louis, and Sara Rutledge and significant other Billy Thoms of St. Clair; five grandchildren: Delia Aholt, Kalyn Aholt, Donavan Rutledge, Evan Chancellor, and Leah Chancellor; two great-grandchildren (and Baby Lee on the way): Willow Neuberger and Avery Neuberger; two sisters: Helen Ruwwe of Cuba, and Bonnie Medling and husband Jack of Sullivan; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Union First United Methodist Church or the Union Food Pantry.
