Donald W. Pope, 77, of Washington, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
On July 14, 1944, Donald was born to the union of James Pope and Ina (Martin) in Mosley, Missouri.
He was a member of the local teamster's union number 682.
He worked for Kienstra Ready Mix in O'Fallon for over 15 years.
Donald enjoyed playing video games, porch sitting, spending money and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ina Pope; one sister, Mary Vandover.
Donald is survived by his three sons; Donald Pope Jr. and wife Teresa of Georgia, James Pope of Washington and Jason Pope and wife Jody of Hermann; two daughters, Jennifer Johnson and husband David of Washington and Darla Peterson and husband Chris of Oklahoma; one brother, Junior Pope and wife Carol of Troy; one sister, Virginia Elliff and husband Butch of Washington; twenty one grandchildren, Kristine Wood and husband Tommy of Georgia, Jessica Carson and husband James of Georgia, James Pope Jr. of Washington, Trevor Pope of Washington, Nicole Pope of Bowling Green, Jason Pope Jr. of Moscow Mills, Zachary Pope of St. Peters, Jonathan Pope of St. Peters, Samantha Cable of Union, Jesse Cable of Moscow Mills, Tabitha Cable of Bowling Green, David Johnson Jr., Gunner Johnson, Christy Johnson, Devin Zeigler and wife Jessica, Jacob Ziegler, Emery (Emma) Zeigler, Ethan Brand all of Washington, Chris Peterson of Oklahoma and Cheyenne Peterson of Oklahoma and Julian Procario; two great-grandchildren, Chaz McKinney of Union and Kay-Lynne McKinney of Union; ex-daughter-in-law, Amy Nethington Pope; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
