Donald L. Lenau, 69, of Union passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home after bravely fighting a long battle with lung cancer.

Mr. Lenau, son of the late William Lenau and wife Frances nee Brune was born September 27, 1946 in Washington, Missouri.

On June 10, 1995 he was united in marriage to Mary Folz in Union.

He worked as an IBEW Local 1 Electrician until his retirement in 2008.

As an avid hunter and fisherman he had a love for the outdoors.

Mr. Lenau served his country in the U.S. Airforce as the Air Police and received an honorable discharge for his service.

Mr. Lenau was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances Lenau.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lenau of Union; two sons, Kevin Lenau and wife Carla of Bowling Green, KY and Jason Lenau and wife Bobbie of Union; one daughter, Tambra Blosser of Ballwin; one sister, Linda Beas and husband Herb of Union; six grandchildren, Paige, Ashley, Andrew, Jacob, Gabrielle and Mason; one great-granddaughter, Logan; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
