Donald Hawkins, 39 of Columbia passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Booneville, Missouri.
Mr. Hawkins, son of Donald Hawkins, Jr. and Rosemary Hawkins nee Weidner was born November 20, 1972 in St. Louis.
On November 20, 1991 he was united in marriage to Michelle Higgins in Villa Ridge, Missouri.
He had a passion for coaching. He coached the Meramec Sharks Hockey Team and was the head coach for the Columbia Bull Dogs Baseball Team. He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Boles Fire Department for 5 years.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald Hawkins, Jr.; his grandparents, Donald, Sr. and Lucille Hawkins, Wayne and Barbara Wilson and Roy and Doris Higgins; two uncles, John Hawkins and Richard Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Hawkins of Columbia; three sons, Kaleb Higgins of Los Angeles, CA, Jacob Hawkins of Los Angeles, CA and Brandon Hawkins of Columbia; two daughters, Brenda Gauer of Sedalia, MO and Piper Hawkins of Columbia; his mother, Rosemary Hawkins of Pacific; three brothers, Bobby Hawkins and wife Heidi of St. Clair, Brian Hawkins of St. Clair and Jason Hawkins and wife Christina of Union; two sisters, Marlo McClain and husband Allen of Washington and Dawn McBride and husband Jim of Union; great grandparents, George and Rosemary Flegle of Eldon, MO; parents-in-law, Danny and Pat Higgins of Villa Ridge; two sisters-in-law, Dotty Harker and husband Brad of Union and Bridgett Stemmley and husband Donnie of Villa Ridge; nieces and nephews, Cassie Browning and husband Andrew, Matt McClain, Tony Chapman, Zachery McBride, Garrett Stemmley, Brayden Harker, Serenity McBride, Kimberly McBride, Hayden Harker and Payton Harker; uncles; aunts; other relatives and many friends.
