Donald Eugene Giedinghagen, "D.E.", 76, Union, passed away March 23, 2023, at the St. Louis University Hospital in St Louis, Missouri, from complications from an auto accident. Donald was born in Washington, Missouri, December 15, 1946, to the late Donald Raymond Giedinghagen and Alice Doreen Schuenemeyer.

With the marriage of his mother to Owen Edward Ferdinand Becker their family was blessed with seven more sisters. He served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970, including thirteen months in the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Sheila Catherine Kopp, March 19, 1967.

Surviving him are his daughter, Allison Louise & Michael Wayne Bowen, his grandson Riley Louis Bowen, special friend Carolyn Dell Miller, six sisters, Jacqueline Kay Leicht of Spring, Texas, Elizabeth Ann & Charles Arthur Brandhorst, Donna Rae & David Lee Bandy, Mary Alice & Michael Lee Withington, and Denise June Franke, all of Union, and Karen Marie &

John LeRoy Hanna of Beaufort, other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by a special friend, Marie Hope Webb, his parents & two sisters, Opal Ruth Surcey & Theresa Sally Becker.
