Donald J. Bailey, 86, of Leslie, Missouri passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at his home.

Donald, son of John Bailey and wife Lenna (Fode) was born August 21, 1934 in Wing, North Dakota.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957 receiving an honorable discharge. While in the military he met Grace Hamlin in Fort Lee, Virginia and was united in marriage on March 3, 1955 in Prince George, Virginia.

After the service Donald worked at GM and retired after 30 years. During his retirement he enjoyed raising cattle on his farm. He became an avid Pool Player and loved hunting.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lenna Bailey; two siblings, Inez Barnes and David Bailey.

He is survived by his wife Grace Bailey of Leslie; one son, Stephen Bailey and wife Karen of O'Fallon, MO; one daughter, Bonnie Bailey of Maryland Heights; four siblings, Ruth Taylor of Harrison, AR, Dixie Taylor of Pea Ridge, AR, Mary Fode of Harrison, AR and Norma Collins and husband Curt of Harrison, AR; five grandchildren, Robert Bailey and wife Bridget of Wentzville, Sarah Ross and husband Nathan of St. Peters, Brandon Bailey of St. Peters, Danielle Bailey of O'Fallon, MO and Justin Bailey of Bloomington, IN; four great grandchildren, Vivian, Olive, Harrison and Molly; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to Evergreen Baptist Church or St. Jude Children Research Hospital are preferred.
