Dolores Johnston nee McKinney, 90 of Lincolnton, North Carolina formerly of St. Clair passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Johnston, daughter of the late William McKinney and wife Margaret nee Bay was born June 6, 1924 in Union. On June 9, 1945 she was united in marriage to Winston Darell Johnston in St. Louis. Mrs. Johnston was of the Christian Faith and faithful member of St. Clair Southern Baptist. As a dedicated Sunday school teacher, she taught class from a very young age of 17. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Winston Darell Johnston and one sister, Dorothy Mabrey. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Johnston of Lincolnton, NC; two grandchildren, David Jones of St. Louis and Winston Darell Johnston II aka Jones and wife Shiela of Dallas, NC; six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Christa, Luke, Ryan, Nick and Cecelia; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
