Diana Geisler Shoupe of Washington, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 72 years. The daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Dittman) Geisler, she was born on February 10, 1953, in Owensville. She was united in marriage to George Shoupe at St. Peters United Church of Christ in New Haven on November 8, 1980. The following four years were the happiest of her life.
She received her education from Missouri University-Columbia and her master's degree in counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and became a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Diana was preceded in death by her husband, George Shoupe, in 1986, whom she cared for through a devastating fight with cancer. Once widowed, she devoted her time and attention to raising their daughter, Aubrey, being a room mother at South Point and Fifth Street Schools, among many other activities. She was a loving and supportive mother. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur and Evelyn Geisler; and one brother, Terry Geisler.
She is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Holt and husband Elijah, of Washington; granddaughters, Amelia Holt and Marilee Holt, of Washington; brothers, David Geisler and wife Annette, of Kansas City, Raymond Geisler and wife Shirley, of Union, and Dennis Geisler, of Waynesville; sisters, Elsie Geisler, of Columbia, and Tammy Buchheit and husband Larrie, of Union; other relatives and a select few close friends.
A Celebration of Life Open House for friends and family will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Tea Room at The Swallow's Nest (310 Elm Street, Washington, Missouri 63090).
