Derrick Ryan Schindler of Union, MO passed away surrounded by his family Monday, June 10, 2024 at the age of 25 years.  He was born August 1, 1998 in Washington, MO; the son of Ryan Schindler and Kimberly Grammer.

Derrick enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hiking. He loved all animals, especially his pet goose. He had a huge, kind heart, was very polite, and was always trying to help those in need.  Derrick's love of others was evident in his final gift of being an organ donor and multiple lives were saved by his generosity.

Derrick was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Delmar and Violet Toelke.

He is survived by his parents: Ryan Schindler of St. Louis, and Kimberly Grammer of Union; one brother, Blake Schindler of Bonne Terre; three sisters: Rylee Schindler of Nashville, TN, Whitney Wonish and husband Tim of St. Louis, and Emily Schindler of Washington; grandparents: Steve and Valerie Grammer of Union, and Richard and Judith Schindler of St. Louis; nieces and nephews: Ethan, Alice, Scarlett, and Wesley; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Derrick Schindler can be made to the family for funeral expenses (c/o Ryan Schindler).
