Derek Aulenbacher, 42 of Hazelwood passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Aulenbacher son of Dennis and Rebecca Aulenbacher was born December 5, 1966 in Lake Forest, Illinois.

He worked as a Machinist at John J. Steuby Company in St. Louis for 25 years.

During his career at John J. Steuby, the owner Jack Steuby was a dear friend and employer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmerson and Corona Aulenbacher and Walter and Lucile Brown.

Mr. Aulenbacher is survived by his daughter, Danelle Aulenbacher of Hazelwood; his mother, Becky Aulenbacher of Washington; his father, Dennis Aulenbacher of Columbia, Illinois; one sister, Denise Gunner nee Aulenbacher and husband Mark of Indianapolis, Indiana; one nephew, Jonathan Gunner; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
