Dennis G. Arnold of Washington, MO passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 77 years.  He was born January 5, 1947, in Washington, MO; the son of Edward Arnold and his wife, Minnie (Souders).  Dennis graduated from Washington High School in 1964 and attended Washington University in St. Louis before being drafted into the United States Marine Corps in March 1966 at 20 years old.  Dennis served as a "point" man and was wounded in action on three separate occasions, receiving three Purple Heart Awards, before being discharged in March 1968. After returning home to Washington, MO, Dennis met his wife, Carol (Haberberger) and the two shared 52 happy years together.

Dennis was a concrete truck driver for 48 years.  His favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing.  He was very active in the Washington American Legion Post #218, the Washington VFW #2661, and New Life Church in Washington.  He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Minnie Arnold; and one brother, Kenny Arnold.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Arnold; his in-laws: Mike and Lynn Haberberger, Jackie and Luther Isgriggs, Mike and Charlotte Tyree, Marybeth and Ron Peters, Alan and June Boeckmann, and Tim Holtmeier; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Memorial donations in honor of Dennis Arnold can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or New Life Church.
