Ruth Denise Helbig (Tayon), 64, of Gray Summit, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, August 2, 2020 after her long battle with cancer.

On December 18, 1955, Denise was born to the union of Melford Tayon and Emma (Thornton) in Cahokia, Illinois.

Denise was united in marriage to Bill Helbig.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melford Tayon.

Denise leaves behind her husband and soul mate, Bill Helbig of Gray Summit; her mother, Emma Tayon; four sisters, one brother; nieces; nephews; two dogs; one cat; and many wonderful friends and other relatives.
