DeMaris Ann (Baker) Berger of Union, MO was born May 27, 1970, in Fernandina Beach, FL; the daughter of Richard Baker, Sr. and his wife, Miriam (Bragg). Surrounded by her family, DeMaris passed away peacefully Monday, February 17, 2025, at the age of 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Baker, Sr.; one son, Thomas Modglin; one brother, Jason Baker; and three foster brothers: Richard Propes, Frankie Propes, and David Turbeville.

She is survived by her two sons: Danny Modglin and Devin Berger, both of Union; her mother, Miriam "Bunny" Baker of Jacksonville, FL; four brothers: Rick Baker, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL., Wayne Henderson and wife Kathy of Lake Wales, FL., Eddie Propes of Jacksonville, FL., and Terry Propes of KY; two sisters, Leah Miller and husband Daniel of NC, and Claudia Propes of GA.; three grandchildren: Alice Modglin, Scarlett Modglin, and Wesley Modglin; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
