Della Pearl Baker, 84, of Union, passed away, Sunday, April 17, 2022, at her home.
On January 23, 1938, Della was born to the union of Hugh Rievley and Stella (Moore) in Fisk, Missouri.
On November 9, 1954, Della was united in marriage to Alfred Baker in Dexter, Missouri.
Della had retired twice from Mercy Hospital Washington after a total of 9 years.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting and gardening. Della also loved listening to southern gospel music. Most of all Della loved her large family. She was like a mother to many people through the years and a dear friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Stella Rievley; husband, Alfred Baker; two children, Sharon Richardson and Jerry Baker; two brothers, Paul Rievley and Chester Rievley; two sisters, Bonnie Polaski and Reta Roberts; uncle, William Moore and wife Patricia.
Della is survived by her daughters, Karen Hamilton and fiancé Kermit Tyler of Union and Paula McCain of Union; two sisters, Brenda Beckham of Maryland Heights and Becky Mize and husband Larry of Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren, Amber Hunewill and husband Andrew of Marthasville, Colin Hamilton and wife Syd of Texas, Carmella Hartzke and husband Travis of Union, Tommy Richardson of Washington, Matthew Hamilton of St. Charles, Faith Ketcherside of Union, Connor Hamilton of St. Ann, Jobie Richardson of Washington, Griffin Hamilton of Union, Curtis Tyler of Leslie, Sheila Lohmann of Union, Karen Hanna of Union, Joyce Baines of Arkansas and Danny Tyler and wife Theresa of St. Clair, Bron Richardson and wife Tammy of Florrisant and Bill McCain and wife Colleen of St. Louis; multiple great-grandchildren; cousins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
