Obituary

Deborah Christine (Seyer) Karberg of Union, MO passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at the age of 70 years.  She was born March 29, 1954, in St. Charles, MO; the daughter of Norval Seyer and his wife, Dorothy (Porter).

Deborah received her education from Francis Howell High School in St. Charles and continued her studies at East Central College in Union where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.  She held numerous jobs over the years including UPS, Central Hardware in St. Charles, and manager of her apartment complex in Maryland Heights. Deborah was united in marriage to Ron Karberg on April 26, 2003, and the couple celebrated almost 20 years of marriage before Ron's passing on August 2, 2023.  She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Villa Ridge.   She enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, playing bingo, her guns, and a good game of Phase 10, pinochle, or canasta.  Deborah also enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and cherished the time she got to spend with them.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Norval and Dorothy Seyer; her husband, Ron Karberg; and two sisters: Sarah McClain and Carol McCullen.

She is survived by one son, John Eggers and significant other, Teresa Green of Union; three grandchildren: Blake Eggers, Linda Eggers, and Charles Eggers; four brothers: Norval Seyer, Jr. of Pacific, David Seyer and wife Wanda of St. Clair, Steven Seyer of Sullivan, and Richard Seyer of HI; five sisters: Annette Hamilton and husband Danny of Newburg, Nancy Clem and husband Mitch of O'Fallon, Kathleen Keence and husband Brian of Catawissa, Linda Biwald and husband Christopher of CA, and Rebecca Seyer of St. Louis; one niece, Becky Bewig; other nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
