Deborah Kay Briggs nee Compton, 52 of Sullivan passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Briggs was born February 3, 1960 in Joplin, Missouri. On September 17, 1977 she was united in marriage to Alex Briggs in Imperial, Missouri.

She enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling and especially loved her grandchildren.

Mrs. Briggs was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Compton and one sister, Dana Rodgers.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Briggs of Sullivan; one son, Daniel Briggs and wife Robin of Sullivan; one daughter, Christina Hawkins and husband Jason of Union; her parents, Ray and Rose Compton; five brothers, David Compton and wife Tracey Briggs of Annadale, New Jersey, Danny Compton of St. Louis, Doug Compton and wife Mary of Centerton, Arkansas, Dennis Compton of Centerton, Arkansas and Dwight Chitwood of Union; one sister, Donna Miller and husband Andy of House Springs; four grandchildren, Trenten Briggs, Austin Briggs, Emma Briggs and Kierston Hawkins; other relatives and many friends.
