David Wayne Hemker, 74, of St. Clair passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Washington.

David, son of Gilbert Hemker and Elsie (Lack) was born December 10, 1946 in Lonedell.

David loved to spend time hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. In his younger years he enjoyed taking his family on camping trips.

David was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Hemker; his parents, William "Bill" and Elsie Riley; one brother, Richard Hemker and two sisters, Dorothy Nappier and Helen Moss.

He is survived by three children, Arlin Hemker of Bourbon, Vickie Haffer and husband Steve of Bourbon and Sherry Ifland and husband Mike of St. Clair; two sisters, Norine Monroe and husband David of Pacific and Lynette Weiss of St. Clair; four grandchildren, Todd Hemker and wife Amanda, Toby Hemker, Alyssa Ifland and Breanna Ifland all of St. Clair; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Sue Hemker; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to St. Jude or the American Lung Association are preferred.
