David C. Gumpenberger, 69, of Villa Ridge, passed away, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

On September 19, 1953, David was born to the union of Clarence Gumpenberger and Marilyn (Williams) in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

David proudly served his country in the United States Marines.

He enjoyed fishing, Sci-fi movies, bigfoot and paranormal shows. Most of all, David loved his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Gumpenberger; his parents, Clarence and Marilyn Gumpenberger; brother-in-law, John Fick.

David is survived by his three daughters, Christina Weisbruch of Villa Ridge, Teresa Hale and husband Steve of New Haven and Marilyn Stefanski Davis of South Carolina; son, Donnie Ezell of Villa Ridge; brother, Rick Gumpenberger and wife Miriam of South Carolina; two sisters, Phyliss Fick of Ohio and Karen Saville and husband Gordon of Indiana; grandchildren, Sharon Brewster of Washington, Izzy Hale of New Haven and Ethan Hale of New Haven; numerous stepbrothers and stepsisters; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
