David Lee Door, 50 of Union passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his home. Mr. Door, son of Richard Door and wife Patricia nee McDaniel was born July 3, 1964 in St. Louis. On June 28, 2008 he was united in marriage to Amber Sontag in Union. David served his country in the United States Navy from 1982 to 1987 and received an honorable discharge for his faithful services. He worked as an Iron Worker and was a member of local 518. He enjoyed working with his father and family on the family farm in Beaufort. David loved hunting, fishing and camping. He especially liked spending time with his children in the outdoors. Mr. Door was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Door and grandparents, James and Dorothy McDaniel and Emil and Georgia Door. He is survived by his wife Amber Door of Union; three children, Tyler Door, Zachary Door and Sophia Door; his father, Richard Door of Washington; two sisters, Diane Tietsort and husband Russell of Washington and Donna Chambers and husband Chuck of Union; nieces and nephews, Jack Hartry, Jimmy Hartry, Justin Hartry, Brooke Chambers, Chad Chambers and Chris Chambers; other relatives and many friends.
