Obituary

David Alan Bahr, 73, of Union, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Dave, as he was known to family and friends, was born to the union of Leo Anthony Bahr and his wife Jenni (Musholt), in Battlecreek, Michigan, on November 16, 1948.

Dave was a self-employed house painter by trade.  He was a very talented person having performed in a Barber Shop Quartet.  He loved to travel and explore with his wife Mildred, along with an unconventional thirst for knowledge.  Dave always enjoyed a good political debate, along with discussions it would involve.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jenni Bahr.

Dave is survived by his wife, Mildred (Sunderhuse) Bahr of Union; one daughter, Hannah Stanfield and husband Brian of Washington; one son, Christopher Burton and wife Christy of Maryland Heights; three sisters, Lori Cowan and husband Bill of California state, Brenda Piel and husband Jim of O'Fallon, Mary McClaskey and husband Keith of O'Fallon; one brother, Tony Bahr and wife Cindy of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Alexander, Cassandra, Gabriel, Dillon, Isabelle and Elizabeth; nieces; nephews; Cousins; many friends.
