Daniel Allen Maynard, born September 25, 1950, to Jesse (Meredith) and Virgil Maynard, passed away peacefully at home.

Daniel married the love of his life, Paulette Goddard, on September 21, 1975. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, family, music, adventures, and memories. Their life together was built on the love they had for one another and for their family.

Daniel was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Martha (Matt) Ebert, Meredith (Andy) Jacobson, and Brian (Maria Guadalupe) Maynard, and his five grandchildren, Ashton, KayLea, Abigail, Hunter, and Samira Paulette.

To know Daniel was to know that he had many passions. He loved guitars and bluegrass music, and he enjoyed writing and playing music. His love of music was a lifelong passion. Daniel was a founding member of the Maynard Stuart Band, which later became known as Whiskey Dreams. Music was a part of who he was, something that brought him happiness and gave him a way to share a piece of himself with others.

Daniel also loved photography and traveling. He had an appreciation for seeing new places and capturing the moments along the way. Through his photographs and stories, he was able to hold onto the people, places, and memories that meant something to him.

And, of course, there were his tractors. Daniel had a particular love for John Deere and Gravely tractors. Whether it was talking about them, working on them, or simply enjoying them, tractors were another one of the things that could always bring a smile to his face.

But more than any hobby or interest, Daniel's greatest legacy is his family. He leaves behind pieces of himself in his children and grandchildren—in the stories they will tell, the memories they will carry, the music they will remember, and the love that will continue through generations.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paulette Maynard; his parents, Jesse and Virgil Maynard; and his sisters, Margie, Carnalee, and Hope.

Although Daniel's chair may now be empty and his guitar may be quiet, the things he loved and the memories he created will never be forgotten. His photographs will remain, his music will live on, and his stories will continue to be told.

Most of all, Daniel will remain in the hearts of the family he loved so deeply.

He was loved. He was cherished. And he will be missed more than words can say.
