Daniel James John Strait, 33, of St. Clair passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 in Union.

Daniel, son of Daniel Strait and Deborah (Malin) Strait was born May 30, 1985 in Washington.

He had a strong faith in God and read the Bible often. He was a family man, always making it a priority to get everyone together for BBQ's and holidays.

Daniel worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He frequented the outdoors, going to the river bass fishing, boating and camping. He enjoyed ATV trail riding and all off roading activities.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ann Strait, James R. Malin and Lillian Pipes and dear friend, Danny Luehr.

He is survived by his father, Daniel Strait of Union; his mother, Deborah Strait of Leslie; two sisters, Jessica (Strait) Page and husband Benjamin of Union and Lillian Strait of Leslie; two nephews, Dominic Page and Sylas Page; step-brother, Steven C. Buck of Eureka; good friend, Steven A. Buck of Union; best friend and dog, Lexus; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations St. Jude Children Research Hospital are preferred.
