Daniel "Jay"
Adams, Jr.
February 17, 1983 – July 20, 2025
Daniel James Adams Jr., lovingly known as "Jay," passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on February 17, 1983, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, Jay was the beloved son of the late Rose Adams and Daniel Adams Sr.
Jay was a mechanic from the time he was old enough to take things apart. He worked at many different automotive shops until he landed at Aamco Transmissions in Brentwood, MO, in 2014. His love and passion for his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends.
Whether he was out hunting, fishing, working on his custom bagged minitruck, telling some of the best dad jokes, or simply spending time with those he loved, Jay brought love, humor, and warmth to every moment.
On January 5, 2025—after ten beautiful years together—Jay married the love of his life, Chantele. Together, they built a strong and loving family. Jay was a proud and caring stepfather to Chantele's children, and together they added three more children to their family. He bloomed in his role as a father and supporter, always guiding, teaching, and loving his children with his entire heart.
Jay is survived by his wife, Chantele Adams; his children: Addison Klophaus, Kaiden Klophaus, Kamden Klophaus, Haven Adams, Holden Adams, and Annalyn Adams; his father, Daniel Adams Sr.; his sister, Angie, and her husband, Bruce; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, nephews, and countless friends and coworkers.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Adams; his sister, Dana Adams; and his infant daughter, Jalynn Adams. Jay's legacy lives on in the deep love he shared with his wife, the values he instilled in his children, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and strength. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
