Cynthia Calloway, 63, of St. Clair, passed away, Thursday, December 16 ^th , 2021, in Sullivan.

On October 17, 1958,  Cynthia was born to the union of Richard Portell and Suzanne (Weckback) in St. Louis.

She was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Cynthia was a horse enthusiast, she enjoyed gardening, watching the hummingbirds and loved her dog, Bailey. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her "Grammy with the horses".

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Suzanne Portell.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Paul Calloway of St. Clair; one son, Carl Deppe, Jr. of St. Clair; two stepsons, Andy Calloway and wife Becky of Illinois and Casey Calloway and fiancé Erin of Illinois; two daughters, Nicole Lyerla of Washington and Sarah Kalkbrenner and husband Brian of Imperial; best friend, Diana Heerdt of Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, Carter Deppe, Jaden Miller, Taylor Textor and husband Austin, Tommy Ghirardi, Kaitlyn Ghirardi and wife Erika, Brianne Kalkbrenner, Riley Kalkbrenner, Tyler Kalkbrenner and Austyn Lyerla, Emily Wilson and husband Nathan, Brittany Ruyle and husband Andy, Christian Lyerla, Julian Calloway, Madeline Calloway and Charlotte Calloway; four great grandchildren, Eli Textor, Olivia Textor, Jaxson Ruyle and Sophia Sykes
