Coralie Lippold nee Branson, 86, of Leslie passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Washington.
Mrs. Lippold was born August 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Ansley Branson and Lura nee Shoop.
She was born in Dixon, Illinois and raised in South St. Louis. Coralie attended Lindenwood College where she met her future husband, Norwood, of Shurtleff College in Alton. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage before Nor's passing in 2002. They made their home and raised their daughters in Crestwood. While living in Crestwood she was a dedicated volunteer at the Christian Ministries in Downtown St. Louis where she spent time managing the food pantry and thrift store.
Coralie was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church, growing up in Southampton Presbyterian on Macklind Ave. She was an active member of South Minister Presbyterian Church in Crestwood, working with youth groups. After retirement Coralie and Nor moved to Leslie and became members of the First Presbyterian Church in Union. She taught Sunday School for 40 years and was a founding Board Member of the Union Food Pantry.
Mrs. Lippold was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norwood Lippold.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Lee Russell and husband David of Union and Lura Ann Holt and husband Judd of Leslie; two grandchildren, Sarah Holt of University City and Jeffrey Holt of Kirkwood; other relatives and many friends.
