Obituary

Christopher Stephen Ripper, 75, of Washington, passed away, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his home in the comforting presence of his wife.

On April 2, 1948, Christopher was born to the union of Clarence Ripper and Margaret (Lander) in St. Louis, Missouri.

He graduated from high school as well as college.

Christopher proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy.

He worked with computers for many years then later worked at Emmaus Homes then for RTI before retiring.

He was united in marriage to Linda (Reed) on June 30, 2003, in Franklin County in the presence of the justice of the peace.

Christopher very much enjoyed being at home, but when he wanted to be social, he loved going to the bar to chat with friends, drink an ice-cold beer and throw a game of darts. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margaret Ripper; one brother, Vince Ripper; brother-in-law, Allen J. Fine.

Christopher is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda Ripper of Washington; two stepsons, Kenneth Roesner Jr. of Washington and Rodney Roesner of Washington; three stepdaughters, Donna Dickerson of St. Louis, Rhonda Roesner of Washington and Tonya Roesner of Washington; one brother, Dick Ripper of Florida; two sisters, Susie Ripper of St. Louis and Judi Norvell; sister-in-law, Maryann Fine of Union; six step grandchildren, Brandon Baker and wife Kayla of Bourbon, Trevor Hatfield of Washington, Luke Kasmann of Washington, Tyler Roesner of Union, Karissa Larsen and husband Daren of Utah and Brittany Baker and fiancé Zach Lottman; two step great-grandchildren, Saria and Autumn.
