Christine Thompson (Wasyl), 78, of Villa Ridge, passed away, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home with her loving husband and daughter by her side.

On April 22, 1943, Christine was born to Helena Wasyl (Boryca) in Frankfurt, Germany. Her mother would later bring her to America through Ellis Island when she was 8 years old and they settled in Long Island, New York.

Christine was united in marriage to Donald Thompson on August 18, 1963, in South Hampton, New York.

She along with her husband was the owner/operator of Bourbeuse Valley Cycle Center for 40 years.

Christine was a loving and selfless person. She worked hard and played hard. Her and Don enjoyed music and going to Branson for the country music shows. Christine's main hobby was her husband, Don, if anything involved him, she was there. She enjoyed being at home when she wasn't at the cycle center. Most of all Christine loved her friends and family very much, which extended to the many customers she served for many years in the community. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helena Wasyl; two sisters, Mary Lachcik and Rose Wojik.

Christine is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Don Thompson of Villa Ridge; daughter, Michelle Edwards and fiancé Jeff Jones of Luebbering; nephew, Donny Shepherd of New York; granddaughter, Lillian Edwards of South Dakota; other relatives and many friends.
