Christine Carla Johnson of Union, MO was born February 2, 1952, in Washington, MO; the daughter of Carl Johnson and his wife, Shirley (Bramerloh). Christine passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the age of 72 years.

Christine received her education from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She went on to have successful careers in disaster restoration, computer sales, and government benefit data processing. Christine was united in marriage to Robin Bunkley in a Civil Union in Hawaii on April 25, 2012. Their union was federally recognized in Seattle, WA. on September 12, 2013. She loved her two dogs, Cash and Buddy Sam, and she enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. Christine cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Shirley Johnson; and her brother, Nels Johnson.

She is survived by her loving wife, Robin Bunkley of Union; her brother, Perry Johnson and his wife, Frankie of Union; her sister-in-law, Prudence Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Peter's UCC (auditorium second floor) in Washington, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Christine Johnson can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, Union, MO.
