Chris Schnapp, 64, of St. Clair, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 14, 2022, at his home.

On June 25, 1958, Chris was born to the union of Lawrence "Larry" Schnapp and Joyce (Kiel) in St. Louis, Missouri.

Chris was a graduate from Northwest High School.

He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Chris was also a self-taught guitar player and enjoyed strumming a tune when he could. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Blues. Anyone that knew Chris knew that he loved to have a good time. Most of all, Chris loved his family and was a hardworking father who did the best he could raising his children. Chris had a soft spot for children which is why he was a devout supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Schnapp; brother, Gregory Schnapp; sister, Ann Schnapp; granddaughter, Alaina Hawkins.

He is survived by his father, Larry Schnapp of Eureka; two sons, Shane Schnapp of St. Clair and Mitch Bledsoe of St. Clair; five daughters, Alysia Altemueller and husband Cory of Gerald, Erin Prilwetz and husband Ben of Beaufort, Amber Helzer of Lonedell, Lauren Wise and significant-other Andrew Reed of Potosi and Samantha Saling and husband Sam of St. Clair; one brother, Tim Schnapp and wife Michelle of Wright City; four sisters, Jann Jackson and husband Ben of Labadie, Julie Ray and husband Chuck of Pacific, Lynn Doorack and husband Andy of Labadie and Carolyn Kirk and husband Tony of Cedar Hill' 16 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
