Cheryl Anne Sanson (Piper), 59, of Villa Ridge, passed away, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
On February 22, 1962, Cheryl was born to the union of Clyde Piper and Charlotte (Conley) in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Cheryl was a 1980 graduate from Ottumwa High School.
She was united in marriage to Billie Sanson, October 13, 1989, in Washington at the Sharp Shooters Club.
Cheryl worked as a home health aid for over 20 years.
She loved reading, watching murder mysteries, being outdoors, camping and appreciating nature. Cheryl also enjoyed going to flea markets. Most of all Cheryl loved spending time with her family and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Piper; father and step-mother, Clyde and Barb Piper; daughter, Megan Willoughby; brother-in-law, Tim Hopwood; two sisters-in-law, Donna Steffens and Debbie Pryor; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Margaret Cline; aunt, Bev Freeman; uncles, Jerry and Johnny Postlewait; great uncle and aunt, Tom "The Bug Man" and Shirley Conley.
She is survived by her husband, Billie Sanson of Villa Ridge; daughter, Amber Sanson of Villa Ridge; step-daughter, Christy Cox and husband Tim of Florida; step-son, Tim Blue of Villa Ridge; three sisters, Christina Smith of Iowa, Crystal Hopwood and significant other John Ingles of Iowa and Charlene "Tink" Piper of Iowa; sister-in-law, Melonie Nance and husband Dennis of Washington; brother-in-laws, Paul Wayne Pryor of Tennessee and Frank Steffens of Washington; granddaughters, Brooklyn Dains of Villa Ridge and Kaydence Sanson-Reed of Illinois; three nieces, Amber Pryor, Brittany Pryor and Bridgette Ogletree; nephew, Paul Wayne "Tooter" Pryor Jr.; many other grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
