Obituary

Charles "Charlie" Willingham of High Ridge passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 19, 2022.

Charlie, son of Charles Willingham and wife Agatha (Minardi) was born April 27, 1955 in St. Louis.

Charlie served his country in the United States Army for three years receiving an honorable discharge.

After being discharged from the Army he started a career with the National Parks Department at the Gateway Arch. He worked his way to Park Ranger until retiring due to medical reasons.  Later in life he worked part-time as a delivery driver for Krispy Kreme Donuts out of Fenton. Driving for Krispy Kreme was a job he enjoyed for much and was giving the nickname "Donut Man" by some of his customers. Charlie also had hundreds of movies he collected over the years. If you were looking for a certain movie to watch, chances he would have it.

He was an avid bowler and involved in many leagues for years carrying a 200 plus average most of the time.

Whether holidays or birthdays he never missed a chance to come to a family function and enjoy the company and good food.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agatha Willingham and one sister, Elizabeth Shaffer.

He is survived by one brother, Mike Willingham and wife Sandy of St. Louis; two nephews, Gary Willingham and wife Christina of Union and Gregory Willingham of High Ridge; three great nephews, Drew Willingham of Union, Chase Willingham of Union and Bryce Willingham of High Ridge; one great niece, Cloe Willingham; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
