Charles D. Lewis, 71, of Villa Ridge, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025.  The son of Charles and Laverne (Luedde) Lewis, he was born in St. Louis, on July 1, 1954. He was united in marriage to Delia "Suzette" Bane, on February 23, 1985, in Pacific.

Charles was an avid fisherman, always ready to hook a bass or bluegill at one of his favorite lakes in the Busch Wildlife Area.  He also enjoyed deer hunting and coin collecting.  His family always came first as he was a loving and caring person, known for his great sense of humor, he was always making others laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laverne Lewis; brother, Rick Kick.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Suzette Lewis of Villa Ridge; son, Josh Lewis of Gray Summit; three daughters, Shelly Frye and husband Devin of Villa Ridge, Ashley Mitchell and husband Eric of Illinois, Jennifer Hemmer and husband Dan of Illinois; three sisters, Lisa Koester and husband Gary of Imperial, Kim Fierro and husband Gil of Imperial, Karen Lewis of Ohio; six grandchildren, one great grandson; other relatives and many friends.
