Charlene Percival (nee Vaughn) of Rosebud, Missouri passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on November 7, 1958 in Hodgenville, Kentucky to Imogene Vaughn (nee Dugan) and Wilbur J. Vaughn. She was married on October 24, 2001 to Conrad James Percival.
She had many jobs over the years, but her favorite was as a teacher assistant at the Head Start Program. Charlene cherished her cats and loved them like children. She showed her creative side at an early age with sewing and art. She was a very talented artist and could paint and draw anything with great detail, but her favorite subjects were animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Imogene and Wilbur J. Vaughn; father-in-law, Kenneth Percival; her brother, Bryan Vaughn; and brother-in-law, David M. Darmon.
She is survived by her husband, Conrad James Percival of Rosebud, MO; one brother Roger, (Margarete) Vaughn of Owensville, MO; one sister, Julie Ann Darmon of Ballwin, MO; mother-in-law, Joy Percival of Alpharetta, GA; brothers-in-law: Mark Percival of Rosebud, MO and Gregory (Elizabeth) Percival of Humble, TX; sister-in-law, Wendy Zimmerlee of Alpharetta, GA; nephews: David (Andrea) Darmon, Jr. of Wildwood, MO, Joseph Patrick (Sarah) Darmon of Fenton, MO, Ryan (Morgan) Zimmerlee of Richmond, VA, Paul Zimmerlee of Sandy Springs, GA, and Nathan Percival of Humble, TX; nieces: Ginger (Clay) Finley of Washington, MO, Tina (Patrick) Heidbrink of Rosebud, MO, Chloe Zimmerlee of Acworth, GA and Violet Percival of Humble, TX; her aunt, Carol (Stanley) Berry of Springfield, MO; great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and many friends.
Following her wishes, Charlene's ashes will be scattered at Roberts Cemetery in Cook Station, Missouri by her family at a later date.
