Chadwyck John Firebaugh, 22 of St. Clair formerly of Fenton passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at St. Louis. Mr. Firebaugh, son of Tim Firebaugh and wife Joan nee Muller was born December 18, 1991 at St. Louis. Chad's heart was not only big, but it was enormous. He was a loving, caring, compassionate person, with a sense of humor that could turn any sad or dull moment into tears of laughter. From the funny faces, to the silly remarks, and outrageous jokes he always wanted to make sure everyone was happy. Chad loved hunting, fishing, four wheeler riding, camping and every sport. No matter what he wanted to do he followed through and tried his hardest at doing his best. He loved the early mornings of hunting and fishing, the late nights of four wheeler riding, the long weekends of camping and the adrenaline rush of playing sports. He didn't care if he won at the sport he was play, as long as he knew he did his best and had fun. Chad was a very dedicated, hard worker. If he started something he wanted to make sure he finished. He loved to help out as much as he could. He helped his dad with cutting trees for firewood, clearing up trails, building the cabin and much more. He helped his mom with heavy lifting, pulling weeds, raking leaves and gumballs and anything else she needed help with. He helped his sister rearrange her room, wash the dogs and just about anything she asked because he always was a helping hand for everyone. Chad wasn't the type of person to care what others thought about him or had to say about him and his actions in life. He lived his life to the fullest every day and every night. He always said "if they like me, they like me, if not then I could care less." Chad was very dedicated to his son. When they were together there was no way of telling who the bigger kid was. They had a special kind of bond that kept them so close together. Every day they were around each other their love became stronger and more precious. The love between Chad and Cole will grow stronger each day, as we all remind Cole of how big his daddy's heart was and how much he loved his son. Chad will remain in our hearts forever. As well as the memories everyone shared with him. He was a true comedian and an angel sent to us from God. Chad will never be forgotten as we live each day in remembrance of his smile, laughter and joys he brought to each and every one of us. Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dorothy Muller, Linda Firebaugh and Ken Brautigam. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Joan Firebaugh of St. Clair; his son, Cole Firebaugh; one sister, Nikki Firebaugh of St. Clair and was going to be an uncle to Lilah Firebaugh; grandfather, Troy Firebaugh and wife Peggy of Van Buren; one uncle, Roger Stepp and wife Paula of Villa Ridge; two aunts, Jean Shelton and husband Allen of Pacific and Jessi Firebaugh of Sullivan; cousins, Robin Shelton, Chris Shannon and husband Brian, Kim Shelton and husband Dave, Carrie Stepp, Cody Shannon, Dani Shannon, Alex Shannon, Jenna Shannon, Sammie Shannon and Daisy Hutton; other relatives and many friends.
