Carolyn Faye (Holladay) Cloninger, 72, of Maryland Heights, passed away Thursday May 7, 2020 in Bridgeton.
On March 27, 1948 Carolyn was born to the union of Clarence Holladay and Mary (Collins) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
On March 16, 1968 Carolyn was united in marriage to Ray Cloninger in Oklahoma City.
Carolyn was known to be feisty, spunky, and hard-headed. She would often joke with others. Carolyn enjoyed drawing, crocheting, and collecting porcelain dolls. Soap operas and the Lifetime channel were among her favorite TV selections. She also loved to dance and even in the last several years while she was in a wheelchair. Most of all Carolyn loved her family and her "babies" who were her grandkids.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Ray Cloninger; her parents, Clarence, and Mary Holladay; two brothers, Richard Holladay, and Charles Holladay; five sisters, Delores Stowe, Charolet Warnock, O'neta Cox, Shirley Harp and Betty Holladay.
She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Curnett of Oklahoma, Wendy Matlock and husband James of O'Fallon, Della White, and husband Darren of Oklahoma; two brothers, Clarence Holladay of Oklahoma and Johnny Holladay of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Shannon Bishop and significant other Chris Dennis of Oklahoma, Dakota "Adam" Bishop and wife Olivia of Oklahoma, Casey Bishop and significant other Jenna Chandler of Oklahoma, Merle Matlock of St. Peters, James Matlock Jr. of St. Peters, Helana Matlock of St. Peters, Wendy Holmes and husband Breyden of Oklahoma and Darren White Jr. of Oklahoma; twelve great-grandchildren, Dade Fillmore, Charles Bishop, Christopher Bishop, Dakota Bishop Jr., Ayden Bishop, Parker Chandler, River Bishop, Amelia Bishop, Connor Matlock, Melody Matlock, Marley Matlock and Anastasia Matlock; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated to First Responders.
