Carol Ann Mossoney of Union, Missouri, born in Columbus Grove, Ohio on August 26, 1934, to Adrien Eversole and Cecile Eversole (nee Lusk), passed away on February 7, 2026.
Carol was united in marriage to John Mossoney on September 6, 1952. The couple lived throughout Ohio and Illinois before making their final home in Union, Missouri. They were blessed with four children.
Although there were many challenges throughout her life, she remained steadfast and strong in her faith in God. Her most cherished role in life was being a mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma, also known as "Gigi."
Carol always worked to support her family in any fashion. Spending time with, and loving on, her family were her favorite moments. She had a listening ear and made everyone feel as if they were the most important person in the world. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, crafting, and card making with her best friend, Lorna Schneider. She will be immensely missed by her family, friends, neighbors, and The Ridge Church family she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mossoney; beloved daughter, Pam Hunter; great-granddaughter, Samantha; sister, Beatrice Martz; her parents and special friend Bob Walters.
She is survived by three children, David Mossoney of Union; Dan Mossoney and LaNora, of Union; Johnna Moffitt and fiancé, Tim Richardson, of Washington; two sisters, Lou Stevens of Sneedville, Tennessee and Mary Wolf (Willie) of Benton, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Stillman (Dennis), Danny Mossoney, David John Mossoney, Jennifer Dixon (Aaron), Chris Mossoney (Hollie), Maelee Mossoney, Eric Kelley, Ian Moffitt, Mark Mossoney, Nick Hunter (Lisa), and Jessica Martin (Joe); eighteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital are preferred
