Carl D. "Sonny" Cox of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in St. Clair.

Carl, son of Charles Cox and wife Ethel (Reed) was born September 6, 1942 in Anaconda, Missouri.

Carl was a life-time member of the NRA. He loved to hunt, fish and be in the outdoors. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel Cox; his wife Betty Cox; and two brothers, Dave Cox and Joe Cox.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Cox and significant other Diane of Anaconda and John Cox Sr. of Anaconda; four grandchildren, Mike Cox and wife Krystal of Anaconda, John Allen Cox Jr. of St. Clair, Zac Cox of St. Clair and Ashley Cox of Union; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Autumn, Summer and Hunter; sister-in-law, Charlene Cox of Anaconda; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
