Carl Alfred Pennington, 76, of Union passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Pennington, son of the late Carlton Pennington and wife Clara nee Kirk was born April 18, 1941 in Deep Water Holler, West Virginia.

He owned and operated Pennington Auto Sales in St. Charles. He was a member of First Capitol Car Club in St. Charles and car enthusiast with interest in all cars especially classics.

Mr. Pennington was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Clara Pennington; his son, Barry Pennington; one brother, Jack Conley and one sister, Elizabeth Kirk.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Studdard of Union; three sons, Tony Pennington and wife Cassie of St. Peters, Ron Studdard of Union and John Studdard of Beaufort; three daughters, Rhonda Swindell and husband Todd of Valley Park, Cherie Cochran and husband Wayne of Oklahoma and Tiffaney Allen and husband Russell of Union; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
